Hi was an absolutely fabulous Saturday in Bangers today 

we rode the bike to the market Nonthaburi it's huge and nearby 

we cross the river and ride a 5 clicks and there it is ..

so much food street and market . We grabbed some eggs and 

bananas did not want too much as we had been to another shop/supermarket 

Which I will discuss further down . This market is right on the river and

noted for being the top place to buy Durian . Some Durian lovers even 

go so far as to visit the farm and put their name on a baby Durian 

getting it when it matures in one year or more . 

ok this is Macro another shop that sells everything you 

can want in a supermarket atmosphere like no other . It is a wholesale 

outlet for shopkeepers but anyone can come in you do need a card 

and many items are sold in pack of a dozen noodles or whatever but 

we like it as we do buy in bulk to save money and go further . 

This saves in the long run . Your food is cheaper and lasts longer so 

less running around less petrol and time spent travelling .. 

we noticed this new outlet for duck roast duck . Next time we 

will get some look at the price for a plate of duck and rice 

40 baht that's why I love Thailand so affordable . The food is 

really fresh Thais are great Farmers and grow the best . Forget 

cheese though it's super expensive . we did buy some today though and

it was pizza style cheese .

Apple my lovely wife/girlfriend longtime partner and super 

smart trip planner always shops for the bargains and she has taught 

me a thing or two in that direction . A careful planner and she looks 

after my every desire never forgetting anything I need . 

After a few years i decided to just give her all the money and 

let her do it all . She is such a good housekeeper now I have 

more time to relax and drink beer without a worry ..

Selecting the butter we use Australian butter Allowrie and did 

get the small container the one pat size but today we opted 

for the foil packed single pats less room in the deep freeze . 

Apple is one smart cookie ..

Ha the fruit and veg section is well stocked and yes we got some 

of that juicy broccoli . Ice is used a lot here in Thailand instead of 

refrigeration and i think it's a good move . All the street food people 

have crushed ice on hand to cool/preserve the raw fish prawns chicken 

pork etc . Iced coffee is popular toon.

Selecting the cheese we opted for some Pizza cheese 

and we also got the bases deep freezer wise . We have a deep freezer 

and are ice users . Love water with ice in it and have adopted the Thai 

style of beer drinking with ice in it .. 

The shop is more like a warehouse with no frills and all on pallets 

the roof would be 10 meters plus all stacked up . Forklifts do all the work 

Love the Tesco hats can feel the teamwork atmosphere 

and all around there are small sampling stations offering the new 

flavour of whatever .. 

No automate checkouts here that I read people complaining about 

and how they replace workers with machines wasting money 

on all that B/S . Not here .

Sharp as a tack 

Checkout done we spent 1500 baht and got a good deal 

heading home to make a Apple and carrot juice .. 

we are limited as we ride the motor bike that is to how much 

we can manage to carry . 

Gold not 100% but still over 2000 but Apple said and sometimes 

I hide outside and we get the right price not the inflate tourist one .

finished up at the Colonels had a fish burger the only thing 

that has not got an chillies in it .

The ubiquitous ice coffee a Thai favourite 

Love the packaging good sales point you become an instant 

Hero when you buy at KFC .. 

Filling the Panther 80 Baht 

Here I am coming out just went to the Hong Nam cost 3 baht 

and the owner was good will be back ..
